Description

"Discover the wholesome versatility of Schani Rajgira Flour, a traditional Indian flour made from finely ground amaranth seeds.
Also known as rajgira atta, this naturally gluten-free grain alternative has a mild, earthy flavour with delicate nutty notes. It is particularly popular in Indian cooking during religious fasting periods, when it is used to prepare traditional dishes such as rajgira rotis, puris, parathas, and ladoos.
Its fine texture and distinctive flavour make it a versatile ingredient for both sweet and savoury recipes. From freshly prepared flatbreads to homemade snacks and baked treats, rajgira flour adds a pleasantly rich character to everyday cooking.
Naturally containing plant-based protein and dietary fibre, Schani Rajgira Flour is a useful pantry ingredient for anyone looking to explore traditional Indian flours and create delicious homemade dishes."

Tailor to Taste

"Use Schani Rajgira Flour to prepare a variety of traditional Indian dishes and creative homemade recipes.
For delicious rajgira rotis, combine the flour with warm water and a little salt to form a soft dough. Because amaranth flour does not contain gluten, the dough will be less elastic than wheat dough. Gently flatten small portions between sheets of baking paper or with lightly floured hands, then cook on a hot tawa until both sides are cooked through.
Serve with potato curry, vegetable sabzi, plain yoghurt, or your favourite chutney.
For a traditional fasting-friendly preparation, use rajgira flour to make puris or combine it with boiled potatoes to help bind the dough.
It also works beautifully in sweet recipes such as rajgira ladoos, pancakes, biscuits, and homemade snacks. Add small quantities to soups or gravies as a thickening ingredient, or blend it with other flours for baking.
Cooking tip: Rajgira flour absorbs moisture differently from wheat flour, so add liquid gradually and adjust the dough consistency as needed."
